Matula Tea Benefits: Treating H. pylori, Candida, and Acid Reflux Holistically

What is Matula Tea?

Matula tea is an organic, wild herbal tea from South Africa that has strong anti-bacterial properties. In fact, scientific studies have shown it to be 98% effective against the eradication of all strains of H. pylori (helicobacter pylori). Moreover, it is also shown to be 93% effective against Candida albicans (1). Even more, matula tea has shown to be effective against ulcers, Barrett’s esophagus and acid reflux, all of which can stem from H. pylori bacteria infection.

Additionally, matula tea has been used to address ulcerative colitis, gastritis, non-ulcerative dyspepsia, dysbiosis, ulcers, IBS and has shown to reduce inflammation in respect of diverticulitis (2). Moreover, matula tea has successfully treated various ailments associated with the Oesophagus, Stomach and Duodenum. The best part? The anti-bacterial effectiveness against H. pylori was tested at 50% concentration (1 cup of tea per day), which was 93% effective. However, by increasing the dosage to 2 cups of matula tea per day, you can imagine the kind of results. Overall, Matula tea proves to be the best tea for natural H. pylori bacteria elimination.

With its organic anti-bacterial properties, Matula tea has been shown to help be effective against Candida albicans with prolonged usage. Additionally, matula tea can help relieve symptoms of acid reflux (GERD) and candida overgrowth. Even more, matula tea plays a role in regulating stomach acid production, which can soothe heartburn and reflux. Matula tea also promotes the healing of damaged tissue and aides in rebuilding the mucosal barrier of the stomach.

Benefits of Matula Tea

How to Take Matula Tea

The recommended usage of Matula tea is 2 cups per day on an empty stomach for 30 days. This equals 60 dosages. Directions are simple: First, bring filtered water to boil. Place one matula tea sachet in a cup/mug and pour boiling water into the cup. Note: you may add 1/2 tsp of Manuka honey for additional flavor (4).  You can swirl the tea in your mouth before swallowing. Matula tea has quite an enjoyable taste, which makes it a great herbal remedy for adults and children 12 years or older. It is recommended to drink Matula tea in the morning an hour before breakfast and an hour before dinner or 1 hour after dinner. Since Matula tea is in liquid form, it can easily reach, cover, and saturate the infected area of the stomach lining.

Where to buy Matula Tea

Where to Buy Authentic Matula Tea

You can only purchase authentic, organic, wild Matula Tea from matulatea.com. It comes directly from South Africa, so it takes some time to reach the US and other countries. The company has over 35,000 happy customers, testimonials and research to back up their claims. There is a 100% money-back guarantee if Matula Tea does not eradicate H. pylori via stool test before and after.

What Are the Side Effects of Matula Tea?

In terms of potential side effects, the company reports that 1/3 of their customers note some bloating and/or nausea, which is likely due to the die off and release of toxins from the H. pylori bacteria, candida, etc. If this occurs, the company recommends to pause the Matula tea for 2-3 days and then resume the tea.

How Long Does it Take for Matula Tea to Work

Matula tea only takes 30-60 days to work and it is an easy to consume, neutral flavored organic tea. Additionally, Matula tea also has a money back guarantee if you stool test using the GIMAP or HPSA, before/after your H. pylori elimination protocol.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is Matula tea so expensive?

A: Matula tea is expensive because each wild organic ingredient is picked and harvested in specific areas of Southern Africa at specific times of the year for potency. The ingredients are then sun dried and sent to an FDA registered factory. Matula tea is shipped directly from South Africa, so other countries may add customs or tariff fees.

Q: What are the symptoms of H. pylori?

A: The symptoms of H. pylori bacteria are typically related to heartburn, acid reflux and gastritis and may include:
    • An ache or burning pain in your stomach (abdomen)
    • Stomach pain that may be worse when your stomach is empty
    • Nausea
    • Loss of appetite
    • Frequent burping
    • Bloating
    • Unintentional weight loss
    • Malnutrition of Vitamins & Minerals
    • Hair Loss
    • Anemia (low iron/ferritin)

Q: What is the best tea for H. pylori?

A: Matula tea is the best tea for H. pylori elimination. To be clear, Matula tea kills H. Pylori. In fact, scientific studies have shown it to be 98% effective against the eradication of all strains of H. pylori (helicobacter pylori). In addition, it also has strong anti-candida properties. Find authentic Matula tea here.

Q: What happens if H. pylori is left untreated?

A: To be clear, if H. pylori is left untreated it could potentially lead to chronic gastritis, ulcers, acid reflux, Gerd and more. However, keep in mind that most people are asymptomatic with H. pylori infection, meaning they have no symptoms. This means, if you have no symptoms, you have a choice to treat or not. If symptomatic consider natural treatment options first, like Matula Tea which has a money back guarantee.

Q: What else kills H. pylori Bacteria?

A: Some well studied ways to kill H. pylori bacteria include: green tea, Matula Tea, broccoli sprouts, cabbage juice, garlic, coconut, Manuka honey, etc. For a full list of foods, beverages and natural supplements to kill H. pylori check out my H. pylori Free Naturally Ebook. If you have used all of the above foods and beverages unsuccessfully, learn more about Gut Health Academy, where I coach and support clients 1:1 with personalized gut health testing, as well personalized digestive repair protocols.

Q: How herb kills H. pylori?

A: To kill H. pylori, my favorite herbs are found in Matula tea. For me, Matula tea worked on the first try, along with a comprehensive natural H. pylori elimination protocol. Indeed, I am a trained functional nutritionist and also did a complete personalized H. pylori elimination protocol as a result of my GIMAP. The natural elimination protocol, which included Matula tea, was personalized and comprehensive. Subsequently, I outlined the complete H. pylori elimination protocol in my H. pylori Free Naturally Ebook. Moreover, I coach and support clients in natural H. pylori elimination in my monthly Gut Health Academy Membership. Results: *95% elimination rate if the protocol is done correctly, gallbladder health is addressed and the protocol is long enough.

Q: Can you get rid of H. pylori naturally?

A: Yes, it is 100% possible. I know this because I did it myself. In light of this, I coach clients on how to do the same. For more information, check out my coaching services, like Gut Health Academy and my H. pylori Free Naturally Ebook. Furthermore, a recent 2020 study suggests “the [antibiotic] resistance rate of H. pylori has increased.” Triple and quad treatment are most often ineffective against H. pylori. These protocols can make your digestive issues worse, not better. Always start with a natural H. pylori elimination protocol first and work with a trained practitioner to ensure you properly address drainage pathways and immune system function. Natural treatments, including probiotics, broccoli sprouts, mastic gum and Matula tea, reduce and eliminate the H. pylori bacteria in your stomach. Using matula tea is also a natural cure for acid reflux.

Q: How do you get H. pylori bacteria in your stomach?

A: Modern science does not know exactly why some people get H. pylori bacteria and others don’t. Therefore, it is hypothesized that H. pylori is spread via saliva, unsanitary drinking water or even tap water. The research also mentions that H. pylori rates are higher in developing countries. However, it can also reach your stomach by improperly cooked foods, high stress levels, poor immune system, poor drainage, liver/bile flow, etc.

Q: What aggravates H. pylori?

A: Processed foods like gluten, soy, dairy, processed white sugar and high acidic foods exasperates Helicobacter Pylori. It can be helpful to eliminate these foods temporarily to reduce symptoms like reflux, burning and bloat. For a full list of foods to eliminate, while eliminating H. pylori, check out my H. pylori Free Naturally Ebook. In order for the protocol to be effective, it is important to address your diet, while eliminating H. pylori.

Q: Can probiotics destroy H. pylori?

A: The probiotic suggested for H. pylori is saccharomyces boulardii. “This probiotic inhibits H. pylori urease by lowering the gastric pH, adhesion of H. pylori to gastric epithelial cells, stabilize the gastric barrier function and reduce the side effects of antibiotics.”

Q: What not to drink when you have H. pylori?

A: It is recommended to eliminate acidic foods and beverages like salsa, spaghetti sauce, coffee and alcohol when you have H. pylori.

Q: Should my spouse be treated for H. pylori too?

A: It is hypothesized that H. pylori is spread via saliva, therefore spouses and children should be tested and treated at the same time for complete eradication of H. pylori.

    Hello,

I have H. pylori but I’m also struggling with candida. It says that Matula tea helps with candida albicans but I have candida spp (it’s a different type of strain). I would like to know if the tea will help with other candida strains or is it only helpful for the candida albicans?

    Thanks.

Hi Chanell, that’s a great question. I will have to reach out to the company and get back to you. I don’t know if they have a study using Matula tea against that particular form of Candida. H pylori and candida usually go hand in hand, due to the fact that h pylori causes low stomach acid. But, once you clear H pylori and correct stomach acid, candida usually goes away. This is because our stomach acid needs to be the correct pH for things like candida to not overgrow. Low stomach acid is the larger issue (if not acidic, rather alkaline…this creates the environment of candida in the gut).

          Hi Nosheen,
It’s challenging to eliminate H. pylori if your immune system is weak due to antibiotics, if you’re not eating the right diet and/or if you are passing H. pylori bacteria back and forth with family or a partner. H. pylori is contagious via saliva and if you are sharing cups or utensils, etc. with someone else who has H. pylori, then you will just get it again. 60% of the population has H. pylori.

Very glad to hear it helped with your ulcer. H. pylori bacteria is a root cause to ulcers.

The company states it is safe for children 12+, however I’ve seen many functional medicine practitioners state it is perfectly safe for younger children. You may just not need to dose as high. Meaning, a child may not need 2 cups/day like an adult. I would check with your pediatrician or trusted health practitioner.

Hi, I have a question. I received my Matula tea pack yesterday, but I was already taking: Mastic gum, berberine, manuka honey, cat’s claw and probiotics daily, being on a low carb diet. But I read that you can’t have Matula tea when taking Mastic gum or probiotics. I’m confused about how to start this tea and I don’t want to stop my Mastic gum protocol in half too, because it’s working great

Can you please further explain the discrepancy? I’m not sure if the person meant the directions in the product itself says not to combine with mastic gum, yet you and other sources I’ve read do include that in their protocol along with other things you mentioned as well. What’s the argument (if it’s coming from the company/product itself) to not combine with mastic gum. If they mention it, there must be a reason. Thanks!

I find (as a functional practitioner) using a comprehensive natural protocol based off the GIMAP Digestive Panel to be the most effective at H. pylori elimination. Some people just drink Matula tea and that’s all they need to clear H. pylori, but for others Matula tea by itself is not enough. Testing and not guessing your immune system and gallbladder function is very important and that’s why I recommend using the GIMAP Digestive Panel to create a personalized H. pylori elimination plan. Plus, if you stool test before/after and the matula tea doesn’t work, you can get your money back from the company. They have a money back guarantee. Everyone’s body is different. Stress, immune system, drainage pathways & gallbladder function all matter and play a role in whether the protocol will work.

Kristin, I have terrible gastritis / acid reflux due to antibiotic (4 doses amoxycillin in Sept.) (tested negative for h. pylori). The acid reflux & resultant gastritis is due to candida & other opportunistic bad bacteria which is now able to flourish even more as my medication (H2 blockers & PPI – both 2X / day) is lowering the stomach ph. I need something to kill the bad bacteria/Candida without further irritating my stomach. The usual herbicidals and undecylinic acid is too harsh right now. I am desperate – on a very restrictive diet – 93 lbs. Things are only worsening on this medication – Need to heal my stomach while killing bacteria at the same time.

Hi there, I’m sorry you’re going though such a tough experience using antibiotics for H. pylori elimination. I would suggest testing the condition of your immune system via the GIMAP and your adrenal function via HTMA testing before choosing to eliminate any other GI pathogens. Both of these labs are available on my website under the “services” menu. I cannot give you personalized advice without a thorough health history and current labs.

Matula tea is not a medication, it is an organic herbal tea. I would suggest running the GIMAP digestive panel to check your gallbladder and immune system function to see if this is why the tea was not effective for you the first time.

This is not right and not fair .You should only charge the real postage I am 100% sure it will cost you less than$10 . I am sure lots of people are stop ordering your products because of the shipping fees , so please be fair with your customers and reduce your extremely unreasonable postage fees . Thank you.

It comes directly from South Africa and it is the only true authentic Matula tea. If you have shipping issues, please contact Matula tea – the company – directly.

    Hi Kristin

I am from South Africa, but live in Australia. I have tested positive for helicobacter. The doctor has prescribed 2 courses of antibiotics, do I use the tea in conjunction with the medication. When will my life return back to normal again ?

      Hello Conrad!

Matula tea is a great option for natural H. pylori Elimination. I also have an ebook that lays out the exact protocol I used to clear H. pylori naturally in 45 days. There is definitely hope! Antibiotics are definitely not the only option. Here is the link to the ebook if you’d like more information: https://eatyourgreensout.com/h-pylori-free-naturally-in-45-days/

By changing my diet and following Kristin’s recommendations and key supplements, I feel so much better and it changed my life. She helped me to lose the extra 15 lbs I had gained and to see how my prescriptions were leaving me deficient in key vitamins important for depression and anxiety.
