Choosing the healthiest, cleanest, eco-friendly products not only keeps you healthy, but also keeps our planet healthy as well. What can be better than this? Here you will find links to quality products, which I utilize for a healthy lifestyle and home. Total wellness includes more than just the food we eat. It also includes the water we drink, right down to the shampoos, cosmetics and lotions we put on our skin. *Please note, I am not a representative of these companies. These are my own opinions that I share.
Berkey Water Filtration System
Today our municipal water is filled with toxic pesticides, pathogens, pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, petrochemicals, heavy metals and even hormones, which all greatly contribute to toxic overload in our bodies. Even, the shower water we bathe with, can actually cause allergic reactions in individuals sensitive to the aforementioned toxins. Please read my post “Clean Health Starts with Clean Water” for more information about the harmful byproducts found in our water system.
This stainless steal filtration system can filter up to 2.1 gallons. I love this filtration system not only because it filters 99.9% of bacterias, viruses, pharmaceuticals, heavy metals and inorganic materials, but it also has filters you can add on to remove fluoride, which calcifies the pineal gland. It is nearly impossible to find a filter that can accomplish this. Check out the performance of the Berkey Water Filter on their website http://www.berkeyfilters.com
Fluoride Water Pitcher – ProOneG2.0M
This is the only water pitcher on the market that can filter fluoride along with chlorine, heavy metals, including mercury, which causes kidney and neurological damage. The manufacture states this pitcher also filters chloramines, chlorine taste & odor, turbidity, cysts, VOC’s and glyphosate. The filters last for 6 months, so this is a great investment. Find it here.
Chlorine Filters for Shower
Filtering my shower water has provided so many awesome skin and hair benefits. I learned through my own wellness journey, that chlorine can actually contribute to an itchy scalp, dry skin, and even eczema. Many people can even find they are intolerant to chlorinated water (I was) after a hair analysis test. Here are two filters I believe are the best.
I love this filtration system because it is made from carbonized coconut shells! It also removes copper and lead from tap water, 91% of chlorine, and replaces heavy metals with healthy potassium ions to balance pH. I don’t color my hair, but the company claims this filtration system prolongs the life and color of the treated hair. I love that it leaves my hair and skin soft and smooth. Replace this filter every 6 months.
I was happily surprised that after just one shower with this filter I noticed my hair was shinier and my skin softer. This filter rids water of heavy metals that stain your bathtub, reduces chlorine by 90-95%, is easy to install and lasts 6 months. Find it here

The maker reports this shampoo is “rich in certified organic herbs and helps prevent hair loss and stimulate new growth. This oil is truly perfect for combination and problematic skin, as it has the ability to heal acne scars, calm and reduce redness and even clear acne spots. More importantly, it does not clog pores. I have to say, this oil completely cleared up my skin and healed my acne and scars almost overnight. This product is super economical and lasts forever. Find it here

This mascara really does the trick. I love that I can find it at most drug stores and it is super affordable. It’s free of GMO’s, chemicals and parabens. For Troublesome Acne Scars
The Banish Kit $75
This skincare system from California is just amazing! If you suffer from acne scarring (like myself), I highly recommend trying this kit, which comes complete with a derma roller and vitamin C + E + Ferulic Acid serum. The idea behind the banish tool (derma roller) is by rolling the micro needle roller over the skin, this creates microscopic needle holes (this process is not painful at all and does not damage the skin). Then you apply the Vitamin C serum by patting it softly onto your face. By creating microscopic needle holes in the skin, this signals the immune system to quickly repair itself and at the same time stimulates new collagen repair to the skin. With the addition of the potent vitamin C + E + Ferulic Acid serum, this creates an amazing new layer to your skin minus the acne scarring. To me, this skin renewal process is genius. In fact, you can schedule this type of service with your dermatologist, but it comes at a high price. The Banish system allows you to do it in the comfort of your own home and for much cheaper. What’s more exciting is all the products contain natural and organic ingredients and are made the day you place your order. My other favorite products from this company are the Vitamin C Beauty Elixir and the Vitamin C Crème. Find them here.
